Was curious.....I would say Im a pretty good reply to text person overall. But do have a few that just don't reply or they reply days later shit like that. My brother is AWFUL! He just does not reply to anything...only when he wants to. I have a couple friends same thing. We're cool things are good....they just don't reply to texts or calls for that matter. I ask them a question about something don't reply for days if at all just the way they are. Then I have friends who reply normally like the majority would. For me personally....if someone reaches out to me with a question or whatever I would say 98% of the time I reply in a timely manner just out of consideration. I don't get it people that just flat out ignore you. It's pretty god damn irritating

I usually respond a day or so later to my family, old family friends. Sometimes I'll forget though. I forgot once when my uncle texted me, so a few weeks went by without me answering. During those few weeks, he had a heart attack and died, so I never got to respond.

Better to just respond right away these days I imagine.

I respond to everyone. In a timely manner. It's what decent people do.

Outside of one family member. I'm gonna need an apology first. That might sound childish. But you would have to know the story.

You can only give so much. And take so much. It comes to a point where you have to take a stand. Ball is in her court...

Not really, I'm notoriously bad. I shut off notifications on my phone because otherwise I just have too many distractions from too many directions.

I don't have e-mail notifications either. Sometimes, but rarely I even put the office phone on ignore except for people I need to talk to at that moment in time.

Then I respond to everyone at some point later in the day or maybe the next morning. Those closest to me know to call my cell and NOT text or e-mail me if it's a time sensitive matter.

I hear ya and agree mostly. Sometimes, my daughter doesn't respond for days to a text/email. But she's a busy RN with a family. Now if it's an emergency, she will reply quickly to a voice mail. I've come to the conclusion that it better be REAL important for a quick reply.

While I'm at it, which smart phones allow you to use your voice to send a text over typing?

I rarely leave voicemails if NOT work related. Only time i'll leave one is if someone left a voicemail for me. Instead of voicemail, i'll just send text if they dont pick up (if important)

I rarely even check my own voicemails these days. I'll usually just call back

Voice Mails: The telemarketers have figured out how to leave a voice mail without the phone number showing up. I can always delete the phone number, but with a Voice Mail and my LG flip phone the only way to get rid of the blinking notification is to call voice mail. Then as soon as i here a strange voice I delete it. What is with the game of trying to buy real estate/ property that one doesn't own for the scams. This has been going on for several months.
